The surgery went through fine apparently but took a little over an hour because of some small complications and because of the extended time (over an hour, normally 30 minutes to do this one) it's causing some corneal swelling. I'm currently color blind in the right eye due to the swelling but I'm no longer aphakic in that eye and apparently it will resolve as the swelling resolves. I've removed my ugly thick lens from the right side of my glasses even.. and I can say it's odd having clearer vision even without glasses. I also have quite a few sutures in my eye which at first felt like glass and they didn't give me pain meds. Go figure! Doctors are sadists.
Well.. regardless, now to move forward. If I decide to go through with it and the color issue resolves itself in time, I'll be going in on the 23rd for my next surgery. This will completely remove the need for cataract glasses (which I've worn my whole life) and people will stop treating me like I'm some sort of freak of nature (I hope).
I'm currently taking an anatomy class and might post some of the crappy results in my scraps but don't plan on seeing anything useful submitted in that regard for a while. I've been getting better at drawing for the last two years but in no way worth showing off for.. I can't wait to finish the last sculpt I'd shown off.. then off to learning coloring and posing - much more of an exciting venture than going colorblind for an artist.
